1. WHAT KIND OF SKILLS DID YOU NEED TO SECURE THE JOB?

Jules: The ability to communicate as well as the desire to succeed. I was not the most talented bloke but I knew that I was one of the hardest working people around.
I used to spend a lot of time out on the streets with a
camera, practicing and rehearsing as much as possible. Not many people will do that in order to get better.

2. WHAT IS THE HARDEST PART OF THE JOB?
----------------------------------------
Jules: Well, most people don't really think I have a job. They think it is all about posing in front of the camera, swimming in tropical lagoons, and flying business class.
It is the hardest kind of work possible. No travel is
stress free. And it tends to be worse if you are under
pressure to complete a shoot in time, while adjusting to new timezones, while looking like a bundle of energy!

3. ADVICE FOR ASPIRING TRAVEL
HOSTS?
----------------------------------------
Jules: I don't think you can ever PLAN your career
to the point of knowing what type of job you can
get. You need to have a very broad target. That way
you can change and adjust accordingly.
I never really targeted a show and worked towards
it, I set about becoming the best presenter I could
be and then figured that the show would come to me
- which it did.
